Mensur Suljovic led the hopes for Austrian darts for many years and in recent years Rowby-John Rodriguez also managed to show strong results, but this year it is not yet flowing.
German journalist Adrian Geiler pointed out on Twitter that in the first four Euro Tour tournaments not a single Austrian dart player is competing. In the previous 97 tournaments in the history of the Euro Tour, it only happened six times that no Austrian competed.
The start of the Players Championship season has also been difficult for Austrian Tour Card holders. Suljovic, Rowby-John Rodriguez and Rusty-Jake Rodriguez managed only two wins in four tournaments combined.
