The Iceman grounds The Polish Eagle as Gerwyn Price prevails in deciding leg themed clash with Krzysztof Ratajski at World Grand Prix

In a night of shocks so far, Gerwyn Price is through to the Quarter-Finals of the World Grand Prix. Albeit it wasn't plain sailing for 'The Iceman' despite the 3-0 scoreline.

Price came through deciding legs in each set against a plucky display from Krzysztof Ratajski. It was a five 180's and two ton-plus finishes and defending lots of money in the coming months, he is heading towards his mission albeit slowly but surely.

Price hit a superb 120 checkout to hold and begin the tie. Price slipped into double five when given a chance for the set and Ratajski sent it all the way,

But a 116 checkout saw Price claim the opening set. He went 2-0 up pinning double five to go one away from a two sets lead.

Ratajski pinned double 16 to hold and make it 2-1 and it was up to Price to serve it out. Ratajski broke him, but a supreme 150 set up saw Price pin double 20 and head 2-0 up in the race to three.

A fourth 180 and 44 saw Price take the lead in set three. A 96 checkout saw Price go 2-1 up but Ratajski wasn’t done and sent it all the way to make it 2-2.

Ratajski missed three for the set after Price missed three match darts. But ‘The Iceman’ then sealed it.
