"The World Championship would be an absolute dream": Barauskas sets goal after following Labanauskas' lead

On the PDC Nordic & Baltic Tour, there was recent success for Mindaugas Barauskas.
Barauskas won a tournament there, making him only the second Lithuanian (after Darius Labanauskas) to do so.
“It was a strange feeling. I could not believe it,” Mindaugas Barauskas tells pdc-nordic.tv.
“I have changed my grip and my throw, and that has made me believe I can do better. And then I train even more.”
Thanks to this win, Barauskas is now second in the Nordic & Baltic Tour standings.
“I believe I can win more. I have more confidence now. I will try to get the best possible result this year. The World Championship would be an absolute dream.”

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
