Top Dutch stars on TOTO Dart Kings team aim to gain World Darts Championship edge with house featuring physiotherapist, chef and practice room

Michael van Gerwen, Danny Noppert, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Vincent van der Voort and Raymond van Barneveld have been part of the professional darts team TOTO Dart Kings since May 2022.
Team sponsor TOTO has arranged a house in London especially for the World Darts Championship in which the Dutch top dart players can optimally prepare for their matches during the most important tournament of the year.

"There is a cook who provides healthy meals, a physiotherapist, there is room to train, but also to relax. And we provide transportation to the playing venue Alexandra Palace," revealed team owner Chris Woerts during a press conference in Maasdriel.
"We were sometimes asked if it was really a team. We started working on that. They get nutritional advice from Cellcare and Human Upgrade. Dirk van Duijvenbode was already taking advantage of that and had his best year ever. Now we are making that available to the other players as well. This is a professionalization move that darts was still lacking,'' Woerts explained.

- I've always thought the top 24 should be made up of major winners and runners up then Euro tour followed by PC tour winners - if you don't have 24 after that then have some qualifiers.Thomas Moffatt03-11-2024
