Van Barneveld shows consistency as only player to earn prize money in every Players Championship this year

Eight Players Championship tournaments have already been completed this season and this makes for an interesting statistic on the part of Raymond van Barneveld.

He is the only player who has managed to get past the first round at least and thus won prize money at every ProTour so far.

Barney 's best result was the seventh Players Championship, where he lost 6-4 to José de Sousa in the last sixteen.

For the last defeat in the first round of a Players Championship, we have to go back to last year. Then Van Barneveld went down 6-3 against compatriot Maik Kuivenhoven at the 27th Players Championship.
