Dimitri van den Bergh has experienced a dream start to Premier League life of sorts sitting second in the table after the first block of action.
Van den Bergh caught up with The Darts Show podcast to reflect on his opening foray in the darting roadshow and he was of course pleased with how it has gone.
"Lots and lots to think of, that's given me a good feeling and especially a boost. Second on the table after the first five nights, that's something I could only dream of. Besides that, I've played the number two and three in the world (Van Gerwen and Wright), I've managed to get a point against them. I also felt that I had chances to get more but I'm not greedy, I'm taking what's coming. I'm loving the whole moment so lots of positive things to think of," said Van den Bergh to The Darts Show podcast.
On the break between Premier League blocks now, he admitted that he is taking it as it comes as a debutant.
"It's a first for me. It's an experience I've never had before during the Premier League. It's an amazing experience. It's something I'm having now which so many professionals desire so for me, it's just living the dream. Can't wait to get back on that stage and play that second chapter of the Premier League."
