Michael van Gerwen is currently still top of the Premier League table as he continues to lay down a marker in this year's tournament with his best display yet.
It was a vintage MVG display as he thumped in a 107.5 average and four 180's in a dominant 7-3 victory over Rob Cross.
Cross started well taking the opening leg after a 180 and double eight but it took Van Gerwen to get going for him to soon be out of contention.
Van Gerwen soon was 3-1 up taking out 110 to extend his lead and while Cross held until 4-3, a break to make it 6-3 held the key for 'Mighty Mike'.
He ended the tie in style by going six perfect darts in the final leg to send a statement to the rest of the field that the Green Machine is back and firing towards his best.
