Andrew Gilding has provided a surprise in the second round of the World Grand Prix. 'Goldfinger' defeated Gary Anderson 3-2.
"Unbelievable," Gilding opened. "Gary can play a lot better than that and I just don't know how I did it. I've been playing long enough now that I know if you keep plugging away you might get a chance."
Gilding already won the UK Open earlier this year and is now dreaming of a second major title. "Why not!? It's crazy I never thought I'd win a major."
Since that UK Open success, Gilding has become something of a cult hero with darts fans. "It's great, I like it. I notice in the crowd now that there's people cheering for me and I try to acknowledge them.
