The first day of the PDC Summer Series was completed on Wednesday with Michael van Gerwen taking the honours but a race to another tournament continues in the form of the World Matchplay.
Taking place at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes for the first time ever, players are fighting for ranking money to qualify for the showpiece event.
Only one change to the 32-player line-up occurred though after the first day of the PDC Summer Series. Ricky Evans with a run to the Last 16 went into the final ProTour position going £250 more than Kim Huybrechts.
Vincent van der Voort and Ryan Searle also tightened their grip further on their place in the event. While for the likes of John Henderson and Luke Humphries, first round exits saw their hopes diminished slightly.
Another day of PDC Summer Series action begins shortly and all eyes will not only be on the event itself but the race to the World Matchplay. View the current standings below:
