Huybrechts, Van Egdom and De Vos come through Host Nation Qualifier for Belgian Darts Championship

Ronny Huybrechts, Geert de Vos and Jeffrey van Egdom came through the Host Nation Qualifier for the Belgian Darts Championship on Thursday.

This weekend will see one of the European Tour events being held in Belgium for the first time. Kim Huybrechts and Dimitri van den Bergh received an invite for the Belgian Darts Championship as they are the highest ranked Belgian players on the PDC Order of Merit. Also three spots to Belgian spots were given through the Host Nation Qualifier.

A total of 22 players came to Hasselt to play in the qualification tournament. Mario Vandenbogaerde, Kenny Neyens and Andy Baetens didn't play, which led to no surprises during the qualifier.

Belgium's Brian Raman became the biggest name to lose during the qualification event as he lost to Ronny Huybrechts in the final round. De Vos beat Martin Kersbeeck to claim a spot in the main tournament, while Van Egdom defeated Patrick Bulen.
