Durrant confirms PDC move: 'I will be going to Q-School, irrespective on how I do at Lakeside'

Glen Durrant will play at the Q-School in January and try to earn one of the available Tour Cards for the PDC circuit. 'Duzza' confirmed his PDC move in a response to our editor on Facebook.

Durrant in an interview with that 'things were in motion'. He had meetings recently to look ahead to what happens if would go to the PDC. If Durrant manages to win a Tour Card at the Q-School, then the Finder Darts Masters in December and Lakeside 2019 will be his last two BDO tournaments. ''I was under contract to give my prize money (£100,000) back the past two years to the BDO. Had I lost in the early rounds I would have played in Q-School this year. At 4-1 down to Jim Williams last year, my mind was already on the Q-School. But nobody was taking 200k Lakeside winnings from me the past 2 years, hence why I didn’t go ahead with it.'' ''I made the BDO4LIFE statement because I was sick to death of the PDC question. This year there are no sanctions, to my knowledge. My finances, tax and mortgage are all sorted. I have held discussions at work and completed four meetings with PDC managements. Therefore I will be going to QSchool irrespective on how I do at Lakeside'', Durrant said.
