Rob Cross is the first man through to the semi-finals of the European Darts Trophy, the last event on the
European Tour calendar for this year. The former electrician with the nickname 'Voltage' downed a winner on the Euro Tour this year in Michael Smith to give himself another chance at winning himself his first ET crown after falling at the final hurdle previously.
Cross averaged 93 in his 6-3 win and will now play either Dave Chisnall or
Kim Huybrechts in the semi-finals.
He will play Kim Huybrechts who claimed his first victory over Chisnall in 2 years defeating the St Helens ace in an enthralling encounter 6-4. 'The Hurricane' is once again in the latter stages of a Euro Tour tournament despite him having an elbow injury that has hampered him.
