The 2024
World Matchplay is scheduled from Saturday 13 July to Sunday 21 July. The darts spectacle in Blackpool will be broadcast in the UK on Sky Sports.
Nathan Aspinall is the defending champion sealing the title 12 months ago. He will headline alongside the likes of Michael van Gerwen who faces Luke Littler in the opening round. Michael Smith faces Gary Anderson and Luke Humphries will also aim to add the World Matchplay crown to his collection.
From Saturday 13 July to Wednesday 18 July, the broadcasts start at 7 pm. In addition, on Sunday 14 July, there will be an afternoon session from 2pm. After the second round, the starting time of the evening sessions moves forward one hour. So the broadcasts around the quarter-finals will start at 20:00 on Thursday and Friday.
That is also the time of the semi-finals on Saturday 20 July. On Sunday afternoon, 21 July, the third edition of the Women's World Matchplay is scheduled from 14:00. Here, eight ladies will compete for the title at the PDC's premier women's tournament.
