Chris Dobey is into the quarterfinals of the World Darts Championship for the second year in a row. 'Hollywood' will take on Rob Cross on Monday afternoon.
Dobey has three matches under his belt at this World Darts Championship and against William O'Connor (103.09), Ross Smith (102.36) and Michael Smith (102.43) he averaged above one hundred. Dobey thus becomes only the seventh player in World Championship history to manage to throw above one hundred average in three consecutive matches (in the same tournament).
This puts the 33-year-old Englishman in illustrious company, as the six before him include Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen, Adrian Lewis, Gary Anderson, Peter Wright and Raymond van Barneveld.
