Tickets for this year's World Darts Championship sold out once again at a lightning pace. For years, many tickets have been sold to ardent German darts fans and this year was no different.
As many as 25 percent of all tickets sold have gone to German supporters, with as many as 30,000 German fans travelling to the Alexandra Palace to watch the World Darts Championship on location.
This year Gabriel Clemens, Martin Schindler, Ricardo Pietreczko, Florian Hempel and Dragutin Horvat are the German participants at the World Darts Championship. Never before have five German players competed in the same edition of the World Darts Championship.
