Gerwyn Price is the only former champion still involved at the 2023
World Grand Prix and will face either Michael Smith or Andrew Gilding in the semi-finals in Leicester.
Price sealed a 3-0 win over Martin Schindler losing only one leg en route to a rampant win over the maiden major Quarter-Finalist. He hit a 90 average, two 180's and 43% on the outer ring, with Schindler hitting only 79 en route to defeat.
Price started off with a hold of throw with a 56 checkout. He went one away from the opening set. 180 and double 20 saw him seal the opening set.
A 57 checkout on double 20 saw Price lead set two. It was five legs on the spin as Price went one away from the second set. Price hit a 76 checkout to seal it.
He went 2-0 up in the next leg before Schindler held his arms aloft finally getting a leg. He missed match darts but hit double 10 next time around with Schindler missing darts to stay in it.
