Jamie Hughes is recovering after surgery on his elbow in order to correct a long standing elbow problem.
Hughes has suffered with this for around 18 months since just after he won the Czech Darts Open, his maiden European Tour triumph.
But despite being treated for pain and mobility issues in his elbow joint, an MRI scan late last year found a piece of loose bone.
He lost in straight sets in the second round of the World Championship to Adam Hunt where he was out of sorts seemingly due to this issue.
He now faces a recovery time of around six and ten weeks and joked about them operating on the wrong arm following the surgery.
