Steve Beaton's run at the 2021/22 PDC
World Darts Championship is over with
Kim Huybrechts set to face Gerwyn Price on the return after Christmas after a 3-1 sets success over 'The Bronzed Adonis'.
Beaton who previously saw off Fallon Sherrock was a set up before Huybrechts despite making it 22 missed darts at doubles in the process did enough to claim the second set and tie it up at 1-1.
His poor doubling continued but he claimed the second to hit the front. In the final set, Beaton levelled up with a 146 checkout but this was merely to hold as Huybrechts went 2-1 up before taking it on double 18 in the decider.
This all despite 36 missed darts at double in all from 'The Hurricane' who will need to be better to contain 'The Iceman'.
