Incredible record: Steve Beaton embarks on 33rd consecutive World Championship appearance

Steve Beaton is entering the World Darts Championship for the 33rd straight time this month. A record, as no one has played as many World Championships as The Bronzed Adonis.

The 59-year-old Englishman competed at Lakeside from 1992 through 2001, the tournament he won in 1996. After that, Beaton made the move to the PDC.

In the PDC, Beaton has played at every single edition of the World Darts Championship from 2002 until this year. However, Beaton never managed to reach the quarter-finals at the PDC, although he did reach the last sixteen in both the 2004 and 2020 editions.

Behind Beaton, Raymond van Barneveld is the player with the most World Championship appearances. The five-time world champion will compete in the World Darts Championship for the 31st time this year.
