"It was the best two years ever" - Glen Durrant reflects on short but successful PDC career

Glen Durrant had a short but very successful career with the PDC. Late last year, however, he lost his PDC Tour Card following a tough time on the oche.

Durrant was ultimately active with the PDC for only four years, but during that time he did win the Premier League Darts and also two Players Championships. Barely a few weeks after winning that Premier League Darts, however, he fell into a form crisis, which ultimately also cost him his Tour Card.

On darts commentator Dan Dawson's podcast, Durrant was asked the question, "If time froze in the middle of Q-School and you were offered to win a title in your second weekend, beat van Gerwen at the Matchplay, go and win the Premier League, but it'll all come tumbling down in the most heartbreaking fashion. Do you take the deal?"

Durrant didn't have to think long. "That is the best question I've been asked in my life," he says with a smile. "The answer is yes please! Because it was the best two years ever. It was just incredible what happened. Winning Pro Tour titles, semi-finals of Grand Prix's and Matchplay's, winning the Premier League... absolutely, yeah I would have taken that. When I'm feeling down and asking why did it end so quickly I'll think back to this question because it was the best two years ever."
