Jamie Hughes and Callum Goffin hit nine-dart finishes within minutes of each other at Players Championship 28

Jamie Hughes and Callum Goffin delivered a stunning performance Wednesday in the first round of Players Championship 28 by both producing a nine-dart finish.

Goffin threw a nine-darter in his match against Jelle Klaasen. At a score of 2-2, he started the fifth leg with scores of 180 and 177, before a 144 finish followed in the third turn. For Goffin, it was his first nine-darter at the PDC. The victory in this match, however, went to Klaasen 6-4.

Hughes' perfect leg was almost identical to Goffin's. This nine-darter also came in the fifth leg to take a 3-2 lead, although 'Yozza' did use the 180-180-141 route. Hughes could not win the match after that either. He went down 6-3 against Niels Zonneveld.
