The first edition of the PDC China Championship will be held on Sunday, August 18, in the Chinese city of Xiamen, where a field of 24 players will compete for the title.

Sixteen of the 24 participants have now been confirmed for the PDC China Championship 2024. Eight players forced their spot through the PDC China Pro Tour Order of Merit, and furthermore there are already eight regional qualifiers.
Last term, 164 players competed in various regional qualifying tournaments. Those produced eight winners. On Aug. 16 and 17, there are four more qualifying tournaments to go, with eight more Chinese players able to secure their starting spot for the PDC China Championship.
China's best player Xiaochen Zong will be one of the players making his appearance at the PDC China Championship. The winner of the tournament will get to compete in the PDC Asian Championship in October, as well as the World Darts Championship in December.
There is also prize money to be earned at the PDC China Championship. A total of $10,000 in prize money has been made available. All participants are guaranteed at least $150. The eight players who survive the group stage will see their prize money increase to at least $500. The winner of the tournament will ultimately go home with $2,000.
