After a very exciting afternoon session, the semifinals and final of the European Darts Championship are on the program Sunday evening. Four men will battle it out for final victory.
That
Danny Noppert is still in the tournament may be called a miracle. The dart player from Joure was 7-0 behind in his quarterfinal against Gerwyn Price. However, Noppert managed to pull himself together and defeated 'The Iceman' after an unparalleled comeback 10-8. In the semi-final 'The Freeze' will take on
Peter Wright, who was too strong for Chris Dobey with a 10-8 win.
Gian Van Veen caused a huge sensation by beating Michael van Gerwen 10-6. The dart player from Poederoijen also faces a surprising semifinalist himself. Where many people expected Luke Humphries to reach the last four, it was
James Wade who outsmarted 'Cool Hand Luke' in the quarter-finals. After the semifinals, there will be a 15-minute break before the grand finale takes place later in the evening.
