THROWBACK VIDEO: Van Gerwen and Wright face off in 2014 PDC World Championship Final

The big day is upon us, Michael Van Gerwen against Peter Wright in the 2020 PDC World Championship Final.
This duo have done it before though on the Alexandra Palace stage with their clash back in 2014.
It saw MVG claim his first World title and start his dominance in a game which saw him go 4-0 up then win 7-3.
Will it be the same score line later today or will Wright upset the odds and his record against Van Gerwen to bring the biggest title of them all home??

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
