18-year-old
Beau Greaves has delivered on her promise to become a World Champion winning the 2022 WDF
Lakeside Women's World Championship with a 4-0 win over Kirsty Hutchinson.
Hutchinson only won one leg throughout the contest and was more of a spectator throughout as Greaves produced an epic 92 average and five 180's. From dartitis potentially putting her career in limbo to becoming a World Champion, Beau N Arrow has done it.
Greaves hit a 180 and pinned double 10 to seal the opening leg in a hold and hit a 128 checkout to go 2-0 up and pinned double 16 for the set.
Greaves threatened to leave Hutchinson in the dust with a 180 but handed Hutchinson a hold after chasing round the board for a break. The former hit another 180 and followed it up with a 41 checkout to make it 1-1.
A 165 set up left double 20 for a break for Greaves who pinned double 10 to go 2-1 up. A 180 was pinned again by Greaves who missed 141. She missed three at double six and bust it to go back there with Hutchinson well back and sealed the set as a result from there.
Double eight saw her take an opening hold to begin set three. Another 180 made it five with Hutchinson following on with her first of the game. Greaves missed 101 for a 2-0 lead but returned with Hutchinson unable to pounce. An 86 checkout saw Greaves make it 3-0.
Her dominance continued taking out double four for a break and this was consolidated on double six as she went one away from the title. A 136 left double 20 for the title which she sealed.
