Eight more duels are scheduled on Thursday at Lakeside. They are the last six duels from the third round of the men's tournament and the last two matches from the second round of the women's tournament. After today, the quarterfinalists for both categories will be fully known.
The afternoon session opens with a duel between Jonny Tata and Jim Widmayer, before Wendy Harper and Kirsty Hutchinson take the stage in Frimley Green. After that, it's time for the Dutch. Alexander Merkx will battle Dennis Nilsson for a spot in the quarterfinals, while Chris Landman will cross swords with Thomas Junghans.
In the evening, another Dutchman will reach the quarter-finals anyway, as Jelle Klaasen and Dennie Olde Kalter face each other. In the women's tournament, Priscilla Steenbergen will battle four-time women's world champion Lisa Ashton. Defending champion Neil Duff will also be in action. He will meet Martyn Turner, while the evening will conclude with an American clash between Danny Lauby and Leonard Gates.
