The third day of action is complete at the 2020 BDO World Championship with Scott Waites and Paul Hogan through to the third round at the Indigo at the O2.

Waites went 1-0 down against Martin Adams who was returning to the BDO World Championship stage for the first time in two years. It was a welcome return at first but Waites soon settled down and took the next set to force the initiative.
'Scotty 2 Hotty's turnaround was complete with him holding the advantage over 'Wolfie' going 2-1 up with the latter playing well but just lacking the cutting edge.
This cutting edge was the difference as Waites took the victory from there winning it 3-2 in a match that did not disappoint.
The onus was now on Hogan to deliver and he produced a performance which could establish him as a real outside bet in this tournament.
'Crocodile Dundee' eased past Adam Smith-Neale 3-0 with a 97 average. He was soon into his stride in the contest and went two sets up including wiring double eighteen for a nine-dart finish and having a 100 average.
Hogan is known as a player who can average 97-100 regularly as his UK Open runs have shown in the past and that showed again tonight with him breezing through to the third round to end a brilliant night of action.
