'It means the world' - Ted Evetts speaks after winning qualifier to confirm World Championship spot

Ted Evetts is one of the fastest rising stars in PDC darts and showed some brilliant form to win through the PDPA Qualifier in Milton Keynes last Monday. The youngest tour card holder will retain his tour card as a result and won't have to go to Q-School in January which is an added boost after confirming his Alexandra Palace debut.
Wins against the likes of Robbie Green, Ian Moss, Jeffrey de Graaf, Chris Quantock and finally Brendan Dolan in the final confirmed as well he would enter the first round and he will now play Gerwyn Price, the Iceman who will be a tough test for 'Super Ted'
Speaking to the PDC after booking his spot in the opening round of the World Championship, Evetts said he was over the moon to be in the hat.
He said: “I played brilliantly all day. It just shows age isn’t everything to go by in darts.
“It’s every players dream to be up there and I’ve achieved it. It means the world.”
Evetts’ first round appearance will earn him £11,000.
The youngster will face Gerwyn Price in the opening round of the PDC World Darts Championship, which starts on Thursday, December 14.
