Big win for Michael van Gerwen in exhibition match in Boston

Michael van Gerwen won an exhibition match in Boston, England. The 34-year-old Dutchman managed a convincing victory over Scott Williams.

The game was won 9-4 by Van Gerwen. In the process, 'Mighty Mike' recorded an average of 84, compared to only 79 for Williams, who played a home match. Besides Van Gerwen and Williams, Daryl Gurney, Jonny Clayton and Bobby George were also present at the demonstration event. The duel between Gurney and Clayton was won 7-5 by "The Ferret," while darts legend George played some legs against people in the audience.

Many world top players play demonstrations during this period. Not primarily for a nice extra pocket money, but also to keep up match rhythm ahead of the World Darts Championship.
