''He doesn't ever listen to me'' - Nathan Aspinall has little influence on Luke Littler as mentor

Nathan Aspinall and Luke Littler regularly travel to darts tournaments together. They are on the same management team and they also spend a lot of time together in the practice room.

However, it is known about Littler that he trains quite little leading up to an important match. According to several players, "The Nuke" then prefers to play open EAFC Ultimate Team packs on his phone instead. Aspinall confirmed this in conversation with Sportsboom. "He literally never practises. But when he does, I'm undefeated against him," Aspinall laughed.

The 32-year-old Englishman then did not want to make his role as a mentor bigger than it really is. ''He doesn't ever listen to me,'' the reigning World Matchplay champion said with a quip.

At the same time, Aspinall also shows great admiration for Littler. ''He's the best double 10 hitter, I've ever seen. Even better than James Wade,'' stated 'The Asp,' who then complimented him. "Forget how good Luke is at darts, the sport is now global because of him."
