Luke Humphries has kept his hopes of a first major TV title alive after a stunning comeback victory at the World Grand Prix over Peter Wright saw 'Cool Hand Luke' into the semi-finals.

"It was a crazy, crazy game. Usually you know two-nil down, I can lose them games quite easily," Humphries reflected in his post-match press conference. "I always play these really good games and I just, I end up being the loser but this time, I'm happy that I was the winner for once."
As mentioned, despite multiple successes on the European Tour and the Pro Tour, Humphries is still searching for that first major TV title. "It could be a career-defining moment if I go on and win it. You know, if I'm here Sunday night and I've won this title then I'll sit here and say this quarter-final was a career-defining win. If I don't go on to win then of course, it's not."
"I know I can beat anybody and as much as Peter hasn't been at his best this year I thought he played fantastic there," continues Humphries, full of praise for the man who'd looked set to send him packing. "He's not finished yet he's got many, many years to give."
