Maik Kuivenhoven is through to the second round at the 2021/22 PDC
World Darts Championship where he will take on James Wade.
This after Kuivenhoven battled past Ky Smith in a tough tie but he was glad to get through.
"I'm very happy with the win yeah. But it was hard work, the doubles weren't as good as they should be. The 180's fell but the throw after was terrible," said Kuivenhoven post match.
This after his disappointment of last year losing to Matthew Edgar but ahead of facing Wade, he discussed his mindset.
"Last year was last year. This is a new year, new event, new day. Let's see what happens. I won, I was confident. I was playing good."
"Tomorrow is a new day. I have to be confident I can get a win. We will see tomorrow, I am excited. It's my second game, it's his first."
