Maximum scores are flying in on European Tour circuit these days

Last weekend, 226 maximum scores were thrown at the International Darts Open. It was the eleventh Euro Tour tournament in a row in which at least two hundred 180s were thrown.

This series is special. Prior to this current run, it never happened that at least two hundred 180s were thrown at more than five Euro Tours in a row. From Euro Tour 12 in 2019 through Euro Tour 3 in 2020, more than two hundred 180s were thrown, and the same series was repeated from Euro Tour 5 in 2022 through Euro Tour 9 in 2022.

The current series began at Euro Tour 6 in 2023 and thus already holds at least 11 tournaments. The most 180 scores were thrown at the German Darts Championship, the thirteenth Euro Tour tournament of 2023. Then 231 times the maximum score was thrown.
