Michael van Gerwen was dumped out of the
European Darts Grand Prix on Saturday evening in Stuttgart by Martin Lukeman.
It was a rout for 'Smash' who prevailed in a 6-1 win with the doubles in particular providing a source of frustration of MVG.
"Angry and disappointed with myself with that performance. Missing 13 darts at a double is unacceptable and I can only blame myself, sorry to all the fans Stuttgart who were fantastic," said Van Gerwen on social media.
