VIDEO: Michael van Gerwen blind ranks five legendary Dutch athletes

The Netherlands has had several very great athletes throughout history. Michael van Gerwen was therefore given the thankless task of ranking some of them from 1 to 5.

The catch? This was a blind ranking, meaning 'MVG,' had to select a rank without knowing who was coming next. Van Gerwen was asked first by TalkSport, which spot he would put himself in. "I don't know what the other ones are," said 'Mighty Mike,' deciding to put himself in the lowest spot, just to be safe.

He then places Johan Cruijff, Max Verstappen and Ruud Gullit in places one, two and four. This leaves only the third place open for the last name. "Wout Weghorst," says the presenter, but that does not fall on good ground with Van Gerwen. "F*ck off," he responds. "Twelth!"

"Wout Weghorst has to go above Michael van Gerwen," the presenter laughs as Weghorst slots into the only remaining spot available. "You're killing me," Van Gerwen responds. "When this goes out he'll probably text me!"

Formerly of Premier League teams Burnley and Manchester United, Weghorst has forged a decent career for himself over the years. It's fair to say he's not made the impact on his respective sport as the likes of Michael van Gerwen, Johan Cruyff or Max Verstappen however.
