Wade breezes past Evans, Van den Bergh off and running with Razma win

James Wade and Dimitri van den Bergh are among the winners as the first round continues at the 2021 Players Championship Finals.

Wade breezed part Ricky Evans in a 6-1 win with 17 missed darts at doubles from the Kettering ace seeing him lose with ease to an in form Machine.

While Van den Bergh who returned to action after testing positive for Covid-19 saw off a potential tricky test in Madars Razma.

He won through 6-3 with a 96.5 average, five 180’s and a 170 checkout en route.

Over on Stage Two, there’s also victories for Brendan Dolan over debutant Chas Barstow and Ross Smith who eased past Rusty-Jake Rodriguez.
