Van Peer after win at Dutch Open Darts: "Will be very hard to top this"

Berry van Peer won the Dutch Open Darts on Sunday evening. In the final of this WDF tournament, he defeated Belgian Andy Baetens 3-1 in sets.

"This means everything to me," Van Peer opened to Darts Actueel. "This is the biggest tournament in the world and if you can win that you feel like the king. It is so incredibly difficult to win this tournament, this is definitely my biggest title ever. It will be very difficult to top this."

Sung to

At venue De Bonte Wever in Assen, Van Peer was loudly sung to by fans. "It was great to hear that, it does give you a kick. On the other hand, I also had to make sure to keep my focus on the match and I definitely succeeded in that."

The 26-year-old Dutchman lost his PDC Tour Card at the end of last year. "But things are going well now, so no worries and just keep going like this."
