Kyle Anderson was in great form last weekend as he took down his first PDC Pro Tour-event on Saturday. 'The Original' got the better of Kevin Painter in the final of the 17th Players Championship; 6-2.
The Australian Ace was simply too hot to handle for all of his opponents throughout the day. Tony Newell (6-3), Nathan Aspinall (6-5), Ryan Meikle (6-1), Ronny Huybrechts (6-3), Stephen Bunting (6-3), Michael Smith (6-3) and finally Painter all fell to the three time major-finalist. 'The Artist' defeated Vincent van der Voort, Mervyn King and Gerwyn Price on his way to the final.
On Sunday, Dave Chisnall held off a seeminly unstoppable Richard North in the final of Players Championship 18 to take the title. 'Chizzy' defeated Darren Johnson (6-0), Yordi Meeuwisse (6-5), Ritchie Edhouse (6-5) and Jelle Klaasen (6-3) en route to the quarter-finals, before beating Brendan Dolan (6-5), Ryan Searle (6-2) and North (6-5) to seal the win.

- Is this the start of an attempt to say that he (Littler) is the best ever as he has won most money. Perhaps adjust all prize money earned by allowing for inflation. If Littler gets close too (does not even have to overtake) both MVG’s and Taylor’s Major titles total then he is in the conversation. - It is shocking and unbelievable that 2 Hotty who was always such a decent player, 2 time World Champion and won the Grand Slam when it meant something. He really should have joined the PDC earlier. It is quite pathetic and desperate the way Bunting and Arsepinall pander to the crowd to dance to their walk on music, that has worked though. I would like to see more players involved on a weekly basis similar to the Modus Super Series. A knockout tournament with 16 winners from each week.
