Heta claims PDC Home Tour Group 17 ahead of Henderson after two victories

Damon Heta has claimed PDC Home Tour Group 17 after claiming two victories and the requisite legs he needed in his final game to win through to the second round.

Heta began his night with a whitewash win over Gary Blades which saw him hit three 180's and a 96.3 average en route. He followed that up with a 5-3 win over John Henderson which saw him hit a high checkout of 160 which proved to be close to enough to secure the group and this was with 'The Heat' playing early morning in Perth.

This was enough due to in his next game despite losing to Krzysztof Kciuk, he secured the three legs he needed to claim the group. He went onto lose 5-3 with 14 missed darts at doubles and despite John Henderson going onto see off Gary Blades 5-1, he only secured second spot.

Every evening, the four players will each face off; with each match being the best of nine legs. This group stage lasts 32 days with that amount of players set to reach the next round to play it out from there to crown a winner.

All players have webcams set up in their houses and say their scores out loud; to make sure that they can be inputted correctly without any cheating taking place.
