Peter Wright has failed to reach the second round at the European Darts Grand Prix. The former World Champion was stunned by Mickey Mansell in the opening round on Friday night.
Wright went down 5-6 against Mansell, continuing Snakbites poor showing on the EuropeanTour this season. Elsewhere, Gabriel Clemens won the German clash against Rene Eidams easily 6-1.
Martin Schindler, who surprisingly won the International Darts Open last week, was truly unleashed. Schindler recorded an average of 108.82 per turn. He eventually managed to win 6-2 over Gian Van Veen, who even incidentally produced 100.29 average.
I'll tell you something,I've played and watched darts for decades. There'll never be another bristow, lowe,or Taylor as it's all on a plate for them. It's all social media. I do feel bad for Peter Wright,as he's playing crap, but it's all tournament after tournament. Ritchie Burnett, get your leg swing out sorted, and you could be up there again boy! Keep off the pot noodles!!!
How on earth was Wright stunned ? You could pluck a fan from the crowd to play Wright nowadays and Wright would still lose. He is plummeting like the unfortunate Glen Durrant.
