Price looking to deliver in World Championship final: “There is a lot more in the tank”

Gerwyn Price came from 3-1 and 4-3 down to defeat Stephen Bunting 6-4 and claimed his place in the World Championship Final.
Price will now face Gary Anderson and for ‘The Iceman’ despite being embroiled in a battle, he admitted there is more to come and that he is confident going into that final.
"That's the best I've played in this tournament and I needed to. I'm here to win this and I'm in the final so I've got every chance now," said Price.
"Stephen played really well and he punished me whenever I slipped up. There were a couple of sets where I was 2-0 up and he came back. He gave me a really good battle.
"I'm full of confidence after that game. I definitely improved for this match but there is a lot more in the tank. I always seem to find that bit of extra edge when I need to and I know I have got what it takes to win the final."

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
