Krzysztof Ratajski reached the Quarter-Finals in the World Matchplay in the next step in his rapid rise in the PDC and this in turn meant a financial boost.

Ratajski earned around £25,000 for reaching that stage and spoke about the average salary in Poland which is a lot less than what he'd get for a weeks' work in Milton Keynes.
“That is a lot of money, especially for someone from Poland where the average annual salary is about 10,000 euros. In the past I won the same amount on a European Tour, but this performance gives me even more satisfaction because it is such an important tournament, ”said Ratajski during an interview with RTL 7.
It was duly noted that Ratajski is often alone during tournaments and he said that is for a reason: “In the past, my partner Karolina sometimes went to tournaments, but I usually lost quickly. So we decided together that it is better for her to support me from home. I also spend my time reading while travelling and between games. I don't mind being alone. ”
