Fallon Sherrock will face Aileen de Graaf shortly in the final of the inaugural PDC Women's World Matchplay after The Queen of the Palace saw off Lorraine Winstanley 5-2.
Sherrock looked to seal a whitewash win but issues closing out the game saw Winstanley have a lifeline but in the end it was missed darts at double to make it 4-3 which provided the Milton Keynes thrower the chance to move through which she took.
Winstanley had the chance for a 103 break of throw but couldn’t get a dart and Sherrock had a clinical 52 checkout on double 20 to make it 1-0.
A 15-dart break of throw followed for Sherrock on double 10 before continuing her clinical start with a consolidation on double 20 to make it 3-0 averaging 94.
Sherrock missed three darts at 32 but Winstanley could not pin 67 and the one way traffic continued as ‘The Queen of the Palace’ went 4-0 up.
But Sherrock started to falter slightly. She went inside the seven on 86 and missed a further two match darts from there allowing Winstanley back for 4-1. A 60 checkout saw Winstanley hold at 4-2.
Sherrock missed more match darts but Winstanley missed two darts to go 4-3 down and the former sealed the deal.
