UK Q-School Order of Merit after the first day of play of the final stage

William Borland lost in the first day's final during the final stage of the UK Q-School on Thursday in Milton Keynes, but is at the top of the UK Q-School Order of Merit thanks to his run.

Borland lost in the final to Steve Lennon, who thus became the first Tour Card winner. However, the Scottish darter did manage to win from Darren Beveridge (6-5), Bradley Brooks (6-4), Nick Fullwell (6-5), James Hurrell (6-4), Patrick Lynskey (6-1) and Andy Boulton (6-2). This earned him five ranking points.

In addition to the four day winners, the top ten players on the UK Q-School Order of Merit will also receive a Tour Card. George Killington, Andy Boulton and Cam Crabtree, among others, managed to do good business in view of this ranking during the first day of play.
