Wright makes history: First player to play 100th tournament on European Tour

For Peter Wright, the German Darts Open ended in disappointment. 'Snakebite' went down 6-4 in his opening match against Cameron Menzies.

Despite the defeat, Wright still had a little reason to celebrate. After all, it was his 100th tournament on the European Tour. This makes Wright the first player to reach this milestone.

The European Tour started in 2012 with five tournaments, this year it has already become thirteen. The German Darts Open is the eleventh tournament this year, followed by the Hungarian Darts Trophy and the German Darts Championship.
